Wow, so many negative comments. Who cares what the intended use of the Jeep is? Each to their own. Probably 80% or better JL owners out there are only occasionally offroad.

Sadly, my Jeep sees more pavement than trails but we absolutely love it. Running MC 3.5" gamechanger, 38s, MC steering, and 4.88 gears. My wife loves the ride and drive over stock and I can set the cruise at 80 mph all day long. My Fox 2.5" shocks are way overkill but the control, and adjustability are amazing.

Yes, my vote is MetalCloak due to a solid foundation, geometry correct, and joints last a long time.

If you're absolutely going with 3.5" and 37's, you can buy nearly everything you need from Metalcloak and know it's all top of the line to keep things easy on yourself.

From Metalcloak:
- 3.5" Gamechanger
- Rocksport Black Shocks (because you mentioned some high speed trail running)
- Front Driveshaft
- Sector Shaft Brace
- Front Track Bar Reinforcement Bracket
- HD Tie Rod
- HD Drag Link
- Steering Stabilizer Relocation
- Baller Joints
- Tazer JL Mini (to reprogram for increased tire size)

From elsewhere:
- Fox TS or Fox ATS Steering Stabilizer (These seem to be the most popular)
- New Gears (Probably need 4.88, but doe some research for what's best for you)
- Reid Racing or Mopar Iron Steering Knuckles
- Front/Rear axle shafts (optional, probably not necessary for mostly street use)

I could be missing something, but that should cover most of what you need for an extremely well driving rig both on and off road.

This is awesome!!! Camaroboi13, that is exactly what I was looking for, great post, I also will do automatic drop down steps for the wife... Happy wife, happy life! Also, thank you man of steel for your post, was curious on ride and the 8th gear situation, will do more research on the gears... didnt know if i would have to go 5.13. I think you guys are all right on going with the metal cloak suspension... Philly thanks for the list, and I also notice everyone doing the Ats steering stabilizer as well. Im thinking going king shocks with adjusters and having that one company, cant remember them at the moment but then again, Im a little out of it from working so many hours the past couple of weeks but I know they custom valve them, and i figure id do it more of a street setup. Man of steel, I figured i would get some negative comments for what Im trying to do, but I though it would be less given in the beginning i said I was mostly "Mall Crawling" and looking for the look more than anything, sorry to all that Im not a huge off roader like younger days, time is limited, Ive had 2 brain surgeries, so my goal is too have a sweet jeep that im proud of, unique, and take the top off even if its just running errands with my kids and wife. Thank all for the help, its been greatly appreciated!

I just went back to you first post, and because you have the 4xe, which comes the the 2.0T, 4.88's should be more than enough for 37's. You might even be okay with 4.56's because of the extra torque from the electric motor, but I haven't done much digging into 4xe setups. For what it's worth, I have the 2.0T in my two door, and plan on 4.88's when I make the jump to 37's.

Also, the company you're probably thinking of for the King Shocks is AccuTune.

You may want to double check that you don't already have iron steering knuckles on your 4xe as well. I know Jeeps with the XR package, or diesel came with the iron knuckles from the factory, but I'm not sure about the 4xe. It could save you a bunch of money.

Something else to note, is if you are swapping axle shafts and doing gears all at once, that would be a good time to truss the axle housings. Artec seems to be the gold standard there. You probably don't need it for highway driving, but if you want to idiot-proof your build, it's not a bad idea.

It is so funny to see the discussion start at 35's and end up at 37's.

How many times have I seen this kind of thing. It usually starts out with "I only want..." Then down the rabbit hole you go.
