Lately I’ve seen what seems like post after post from brand new members claiming to have had ridiculous problems with their Jeeps. Now look, I’ve owned these things for decades AND and am also an ex cop. Are they shit boxes? Sure they are! Do people with brand new Jeeps get charged for new engines and other bs that everyone knows would be under warranty? No…unless you’re a Nigerian Prince I suspect. Are these people hitting up people in PM’s for donations? What is the game here? Bots writing BS programmed by Ford fanboys? I’m by no means a Jeep apologist, they’re steaming piles, but for god sakes, 99% of this crap is unbelievable.

From now on people, unless I see a pic of the Jeep and the VIN, listing of the selling and servicing dealer, I’m not believing a word of this BS.

Two common themes with those posts: “my last BMW”…. Blah blah, piss off or “I am going back to Toyota”…. Blah blah, piss off.
I pretty much move on after those statements are made.
?‍♂
Sometimes its fun to read and throw gasoline on the fire though. Half the people here think a lost balance weight on a tire causing a slight shimmy is DW! :bandit:

I refrained from posting in some threads, but I will address the ones that were just too silly to respond to now.

1. The engine cover does nothing. It isn't needed for the engine to run.
2. Slow the fuch down. Even the 392 is not a race car. Its a brick with a bigger engine.
3. The beadlock ready wheel trim is not functional. Its a beauty ring. It can have 5/10/25 bolts. If you what to truly beadlock your wheel/tire, the ring that will make it work has 25 real bolts.
4. If you spend crazy $$$$ for your lift and beat the shit out of it, get DW, claim to be a master mechanic, and say youre leaving to get a Bronco because you cant get rid of the "DW", insist it must be a Jeep issue. Just go!
5. If you jump your Jeep and break the axle, its user error, not a design flaw. Luke and Bo didnt really land the General Lee nicely over the bridge and continue driving it the in the next scene.

Okay, that was enough passive aggressive sarcasm for the night.

Good Night folks.

...I’m by no means a Jeep apologist, they’re steaming piles, but for god sakes, 99% of this crap is unbelievable....
I hear what you're saying, but Jeep totally owns this...

Ever since the beginning of time, Jeeps have been junk. And Jeep people have always known this, but as long as these 'steaming piles' were priced accordingly, we all played along.

But starting with Generation JK, Jeep thought they could go after the Range Rover and Lexus kids by 'polishing the turd' with heated seats, remote start, safety groups, etc., and charging accordingly... and Jeep succeeded way beyond their wildest dreams! I mean, who would have thought that people would actually pay $82K+ for a Wrangler with a big block stuffed in it?

But despite the toys & gizmos & flashing lights, Jeeps are still junk underneath. And now we're getting to hear first hand how loud the Defender crowd can howl when they find out they've been duped. But it's not just the Range Rover kids-- Jeep has managed to piss off EVERYBODY with their shitty build quality and marketing hype. I know I am pissed-- I paid just north of $35K for my Sport S, and now that I'm 3 years in, I can tell you the damned thing wasn't worth a penny more than $20K...
