Yes. The Jeep Chat boilerplate is “you may have been selected for additional inspection or being held for delivery purposes”. But given Snelldog ordered from the same dealer and has now gone KZ, I am banking on the former being true ... unless he got the last space on the monthly east coast train.

Funny, they just told me yesterday, no train. Trucked to NJ. Seems odd but who the hell knows?

I’m in JB since 1/31. The original time frame was March 12 was when the so-called parts were supposed to come in I’ll give it to the Ides of March

I stand corrected. Dealer was contacted direct from the factory stating my Jeep would be in JB for 5+ weeks due to a soft top shortage. Asked if I wanted to wait or have them release the Jeep now without the soft top.

I am confirming if I can keep the dual tops option and pick up the soft top once they are available.

Hit your dealers up to see if they are getting similar requests.

My dealer called his rep right in front of me and left a message on his phone exactly about releasing the jeep let’s see what happens

Perhaps this is old news though, but I spoke with a Live Chat rep and they said the following:

Mitchell: I can see we have been in this stage for 3 days currently. It looks like the stage should only take a few days but it can take up to 30 days to complete. Does your vehicle have the Premium Sunrider Soft Top?

Brandon: It has the dual top package yes

Mitchell: Got it, that may be a cause for delay. The Premium Soft Top material is not slated to be available until Mid-March. We may stay in this stage until the top is available again.

So if you've ordered the soft top, may be waiting a bit longer than normal. Looks like they encountered a supply issue from the vendor.

I went to JB on 2/10. Got the option yesterday, so 17 days. Hopefully in KZ today.

Pulled from the email my dealer sent me when inquiring on the early release and how we would go about getting our soft tops at a later date.

If the customer is willing to wait, it wouldn’t be shipped for at minimum another 5 weeks depending on the supply of the soft top. Either way, from what I am being told the customer will still get the soft top at a later date if they ship now, so no credit would be applied to the cost of the vehicle. The customer would simply get the vehicle sooner and would be waiting for the soft top to be shipped.

I may put myself into the 3rd order thread, Kim from Conway just quoted me 2k less than my order that’s on hold. I asked if my local dealer will match. If not, will need to make a decision. That’s a big difference.
