2/22...the dealership called me yesterday and asked me if they could release my jeep without the soft top and just have it shipped to the dealership later when it' iin stock. Still part of the Duel Top option and paying the same price as if it were shipped with it

I was assured I'm getting the one I ordered and just the top later. Maybe the larger volume dealers are able to do this for some reason? I ordered from Koons if that matters and Craig said there were four of us in this situation for him.

That is my understanding as well. The factory is going to release the jeep as is and my dealer's service department is going to have to file a "Shortage in Error" request to FCA once it arrives. It sounds like this is the process to get the factory to ship things that were left off the order, usually by accident, but in this case on purpose. This will be the Jeep that was built per my order with the same VIN that was assigned shortly after placing my order. My dealer had the same stance, Jeep will not ship a partial order, until the factory contacted him asking if they could release it sans Soft Top. My guess is the factory floor is getting full with Jeep's waiting on soft tops and they want to clear the inventory where they can.

I may put myself into the 3rd order thread, Kim from Conway just quoted me 2k less than my order that’s on hold. I asked if my local dealer will match. If not, will need to make a decision. That’s a big difference.

That’s a good question. I am debating just not getting the dual top group due to the ordering issues. I would think they could ship it, but it would not be cheap due to the weight and size.

So, since we have no end date, how many of you have your financing worked out? I haven’t bothered because it’s good for 30 days, right? At least that’s what my bank told me when I inquired about financing. If you haven’t, when will you get it in order?

i am going to go through my local credit union. I have never seen anything that could beat their rates. They said to wait until delivery to the dealer to run. With the jeeps being so unpredictable as far as shipping times etc. it is better to do it that way so there are not multiple credit pulls If over 30 days I think.

So we were also given the option of getting a credit for the cost of the soft top, so I assume folks would use that to buy it from mopar or their local dealer. Craig said he was seeing if jeep would pay shipping from Koons to those out of state, but I don't know what answer he got on that.
