All you should have to remove is the bezel around the camera. How to remove it is in your owners manual.

I had to look up "wheel skins." When did that invented term eclipse wheel covers and/or hub caps?
I'm gonna say when someone in marketing got ahold of it and was smart enough to know that no one wants hub caps on their car, so they jazzed it up with a new name to try and make it sound trendy. They're still hub caps/wheel covers and you'll never catch me with them!

The camera bezel is not bolted. Just turn the star part. Maybe 45 degrees? It's like an on-off switch, not a screw

Thank you. After doing this I found that the cover will not go on with the wheel skin attached. I may need to modify it somehow.

I bought a new bottom-feeder Ford years ago for commuting and soon learned the tires felt out of balance at 70mph. It came with some offbrand Chinese tires. Dealership actually worked on it but couldn't figure out the issue so they told me to take it to Discount Tire and choose any tire I wanted. So I got Michelins on their dime. On the way home, same issue. I then adjusted the side mirrors and realized the hubcaps were out of round. Pulled them off and drove great so I replaced them with some cheap Walmart hubcaps for under $20 as a fix. That was the last time I had hubcaps on a vehicle.

Can you post a pic of these so called wheel skins?
Snaps onto existing rim. Fits very well. Only issue is my spare has a back up camera. I can remove the camera cover to snap the wheel skin on but then the camera cover will not lock in place. I have to figure out the best way to modify it so camera cover will snap on.

I'm of the opinion that a steel wheel with a nice center cap looks better than hub caps 100% of the time on modern day vehicles. Obviously back in the day (80s and before) they were actually designed to be cosmetic or have a nicely designed hub cap versus covered up by cheap faux alloy plastic like today.

Good-looking factory steel wheel designs really went into decline after the 70s and 80s. I still believe that GM's classic and classy Rallye wheels were the high water mark.

Modern steel wheel designs, to the extent that they're still around on some trims, seem to be purposefully unattractive. It is, in my view, a sly attempt by the OEMs to convince the consumer to purchase the next higher trim, if only to pivot to an alloy wheel selection (some of which have certainly no claim on beauty themselves).

I say this as someone who loves his Sport, but thinks the black steel wheels look like four spares.

Twice now have I replied to sellers in the Member Marketplace, wanting to buy their alloy wheel sets, only for them to never revisit their own thread, or even this site, after posting the ad. 😡 And so the wait continues.
