17 years auto mechanic, 27 years EMS (EMT/paramedic/fire paramedic), 22 years firefighter. First 4 wheeled vehicle was a mid ‘50s Jeep with a blown 4 banger engine and seized up 3 speed transmission. Rebuilt that 4 banger when I was 15, sourced a T18, freshened it up and installed it. That little Jeep did the Rubicon countless times (it was easier back in the ‘70s).

What software have you worked on for the entertainment industry?

It's one of the big premium TV and streaming services. I wrote the main backend system that our devices and web site interact with. And, of course, lots of other backend systems.

It's not as flashy as IBM, NASA, Raytheon, etc. that I've worked for, but it's an exceptional environment. I plan on eventually retiring here.

Unfortunately the current cancel culture results in people trying to get others fired when they get offended, so I prefer not to mention the name of the company. Not that I would ever, ever say something offensive!
