History has shown that technology does not age well. What was high tech 10 years ago is basically outdated now. When the next generation of BEV and Hybrid vehicles hit the market the current crop of EV’s will be like 8 track tapes. Nobody will want them. Nobody wants an old cell phone for example. However some people will always want a all gas vehicle. All gas will have better resale . IMHO. Time will tell. We all have opinions

MPG was always about cost to travel. It was an efficiency comparison. It wasn't about " 500 mile daily commutes. " All of a sudden everyone drives 500 miles per day. No one buys it. Sit down.

Miles per tank ( charge ) was never a thing until luddite oil trolls fell to the floor rejecting progress.

Most Americans drive 50 miles per day tops. Fact. OmG only 300 miles per charge?!??!??!?!??!111 Muh RaNGe aNxiETY!!!!!

But but but......BUT!!!! Charging the cars will crash the GrIdDDD!!!!!111. Refining gasoline for a car uses more electricity than charging an electric car. The net grid reduction from charging 1 electric car ( not even including home solar ) is an OVERALL reduction since the grid is no longer refining gasoline that citizen would have used otherwise.

You've lost. This isn't about left versus right. It's about the future and we need to phase out internal combustion engines everywhere they don't make sense which is most scenarios. We need to keep them in big diesel applications and trucking for a long time. Commuters? Gas? lol. No.
