Anyone have idea what this is? On the passenger side of the frame, behind the passenger front tire.
The bracket doesn’t have anything attached to it.

Very stock 22JLUR, 3.6 auto.

It's a tire deflector bracket to help them better pass crash tests.

2023 2 dr Sarge Green Willys, Soft Top 3.6L MT
Saw a video the other day of a guy removing that. Was kind of involved because he had to remove the rock rails and also cut the two bolts that face the tub. They were like 4 inches long. Here is link if interested:

You wouldn’t happen to have the link to that video would you? Sounds like it’s not worth the time, but I’m curious. I’ve noticed other Jeeps without it

Dirt Road Cred on youtube did a removal video, I don't remember he had to remove the rock rails.

EDIT: you ninja edited and added link. YUP! that's the one, ya it does look like he had to remove the rock rails.

Another great "benefit" of a FAD front axle. The axle breaks at the FAD during the crash test sending 1/2 of the axle (w/ the wheel) under the Jeep causing it to flip. Rather than getting rid of the FAD or adding extra support to prevent the axle from breaking at the FAD, they add this to try and prevent the tire from going under the Jeep.

I just removed this bracket yesterday in preparation for installing rock slide engineering steps. Overall length of the bolt including the flanged head is 6 inches.
