Ok, I am wondering how accurate this build and price thing is. If I go to a dealer to order a vehicle, will I have more options? Because it seems there are many which are missing, nor available (permanently or temporarily) or priced differently than what I've read about elsewhere (even elsewhere on the Jeep website).
For example, I read there is a rock-trac 4wd system on Rubicons, and an optional system, which has a 4wd auto setting. There is no such option on the build and price feature.
I also note there are strange limitations on engine availability and transmission availability on certain models. Why can't I get a 3.6 with an auto on everything or anything?
I also note the website says the price for an automatic is a whopping absurd $4,500, yet dealer window stickers on new models have it priced at $2,500.
What is the explanation for some or all of this?
