On my 21 JLUSS, I only had it 2 months, but with no mud flaps it got hinge chips.

I put no-drill Weathertechs on my 22 JLUSS. No rock chip issues for the 3ish years I had it.

I pick up my 25 JLUSS next week, so I ordered another pair of Weathertechs. They have increased in price 248% !!!!

That seems excessive to me. I looked all over, but they appear to be price fixed.

I paid $50 for front flaps 3 years ago, it looks like now they are $80. That's a 160% increase.

I paid $37, I just paid $92.
Where did you find them for $80?
I'll cancel my current order.

Sadly, everything I'm reordering is higher. Side steps were up 20%, bulbs are up as well, but I haven't ordered them yet, but look around 20% too.

Luckily all these price increases are limited to mud flaps…

Weathertech products are made in the USA and not subject to tariffs,,, 🤷‍♂️
Yes, they are manufactured here, but where does the material for them originate?

Even without tariffs, prices have been rocketing up since the COVID mess in 2020. Look at the list price of jeeps. I just bought a 2 door Willys, hard top, convenance package, alpine stereo and v6 MT…MSRP 47,950. That’s a stunning amount for a mid trim wrangler.

That being said I bought it anyway 😂😂

Honest question, but if both Company A with US-made products and Company B with Chinese-made products are both selling their widgets for $50 each before a 100% tariff goes into effect that only effects Company B, will Company A continue to sell theirs for only $50 when Company B's are now $100 - or will they (or their shareholders) just consider that "leaving money on the table" for no good reason?

Was never that great in economics class, but I'm thinking a true free-market capitalist society such as ours would probably encourage rising prices to match if consumers will still pay that price, and maybe trying to be more competitive by "undercutting" the foreign product by a few bucks. Maybe.

🤔

I don’t know, the tariff situation is pretty volatile right now, tariffs get imposed and then deals are made and the tariff is reduced/eliminated. Could backfire on domestic manufacturing if they were seen as price gougers. I do know tariffs have brought in billions of dollars into the Treasury.

Would have to ask them that question. Plastic is a petrochemical and there are a lot of plants down in the Gulf between Houston and the Mississippi Delta.
