Considering removing the mud flaps, which I’ve read are held on by plastic rivets. Has anyone removed and can offer some advice? I’ve tried searching without success. Thanks in advance.

Your Sahara came with mud flaps from factory? If they are held by plastic rivets, yes you can just snip it off with a wire cutter or drill it out through the centre. You still have to set the holes back with new rivets since they hold the inner fender liners in place.

No Wrangler is equipped with mud flaps from the factory. What part are you actually talking about? The fenders? The side steps?

I installed my Mopar mud flaps myself. There was no option at dealership to have them factory installed.

With that being said. They are very easy to uninstall. Purchase a riveter from Harbor Freight. They come with rivets that can be used to fill holes.

Now I think he's actually talking about the fender lol..
To be fair, the dealership could have installed actual mud flaps, but I can’t think of a more pointless mod on a Sahara.
