Trailer Tow also gives you prewired trailer bake control socket under the drivers side dash. This save a lot of work and money if you think that you might tow a trailer with brakes in the future. Switch wires and brake wires just about pay for the trailer tow group.

To owners the base model Sport with the Uconnect 3.0 (5-inch) AND have the Trailer Tow/HD Electrical Group....

Are the AUX buttons programmable with the smaller Uconnect 3.0 unit? I know they can be with the 7" & 8.4" Uconnect 4.0, but I am wondering if the buttons can be programmed on-screen with the 5-inch 3.0.

I have the exact setup you are talking about and yes the are programmable thru the base uconnect. I haven’t added anything to the aux buttons but I’m sure I will this summer. I can build stufff but I’m an idiot when it comes to electronics and wiring so I’ll wait for YouTube videos to help setup the lights. That’s why I opted for this package. To make it as easy as possible to add a wench and lights. Plus I loved the idea of the upgraded battery and alternator.
I’ll send picks to show you Can program in the base uconnect....

As you cycle through the options there are several series of questions. I’m guessing it all works but since I don’t have anything connected, I can’t say for sure.

Now please go buy a winch or spotlights to test this out for us.
