Has anybody figured out this option on the mopar.com website after logging in?

No matter how accurately I put my information in, it always tells me "Sorry - we couldn't verify vehicle ownership". I don't think there's much benefit to verifying anyway, but I just can't help myself and want to be verified lol

I know that feeling - part of me wants to download the jeep app but the only reason is for some sense of completion. the app itself is completely pointless even if its free which it isnt.

How recently did you purchase? Maybe the sale hasn't been logged yet?

I believe that's how the recall addresses are updated.

Well thank goodness I’m not the only one. I gave up about a year ago trying to get the site to say I’m the owner.

You may have to contact Mopar, especially if it was a used sale. Bought my JL brand new and didn't have any trouble but we bought my wife a certified pre-owned Grand Cherokee earlier this year and even though the dealership reported the sale (we got other stuff from Jeep like the SXM trial) it would never authenticate on Mopar.com

I contacted their support, they asked for a copy of my driver license and a copy of the bill of sale and activated it. Wasn't that much trouble and I appreciate that they did want some documentation instead of just doing it willy nilly

it is free...and I don't see it as pointless...it keeps track of every time you service your jeep and everytime it visits the dealership for any reason..I have been using it since at least 2013 and never paid a dime and have been able to log all my oil changes etc...

I have not had an issue and I have been using it on all my jeeps and Ram since at least 2013. maybe call jeepcares and see if they can help. It is possible if your jeep is financed it shows the finance company as the owner. I would think a quick call will get you sorted out.

Wierd. i must not have been paying attention then. the app wants 20 dollars per month from my pocket for the privilage of remote starting it or having it on a gps. oh, and to tell me when error codes happen so I can take it into the dealer.

I think the post is referring to the part of the app where you can enter service history either done at home or also record dealer service, not the things you are referencing. I use the service history part and that is definitely free.

hmm so i went and tried to set it up and found in the fine print that
Jeep® Connect
All vehicles properly equipped to receive connected services come with a 3-month trial of the full suite of connected services effective from the date of purchase or lease of a new vehicle. Enrollment in the trial is required to receive service. Upon expiration of the trial period, purchase of a subscription is required to continue or renew services."

in addition I cannot add my vehicle directly for some reason I have to call an agent. I suspect this is to get my credit card or something to pay for the subscription.

the "demo mode" only gives options to see what errors are currently occuring, the GPS location and to lock the doors or start the jeep. I dont see anything in there to add a service record but there are tons of apps for that.

Might be a canadian thing or perhaps there is more than one jeep app?

Could be a Canada thing. I never gave cc info.
i never tried the remote start because i have it on my fob. It tracks sll services just like dashboard app does.

I only use these two free apps. I let all the other paid subscriptions expire since I had no interest. This screen shot is from the Apple app store
