Thx everyone!!! Much appreciated. Gonna put a regular plate on until I name it. Then I'll play around with the plate.

whether it's about you or the vehicle, go for it; but i'll bet you can come up with a better choice.

Thinking about a vanity tag for my Jeep. I can do WRNGLR, JEEP 41, or no vanity tag at all. Both are available. Thoughts? Thx!

If it helps, I kept a notes file on my phone with ideas as they came to mind. Was nice as a no pressure thing and to get it out of my head. I eventually sorted it into my favorites, went going to the DMV site to narrow down what was available, and then slept on it until my favorite emerged.

By far the best I have ever seen were on a Shelby Cobra (genuine) “ HISS” a friend of mine knew the owner and said that he had gotten several LARGE offers for them

One issue with a vanity plate is, do you want to drive around with a memorable plate? There might be a day, not necessarily due to misbehavior, that you'll want to remain incognito. Then...once you realize that having an ID on your Jeep is an unfortunate idea, it'll be too late to do anything about it. Just my $.02.

Do you use your full name on this forum?
Makes sense and not at the same time. Actually, it did make sense a a few decades ago, but now with everybody and their red fish owning a cell phone, if you do questionable things, a picture of your plate is quickly taken. As a cop, we have people come to us all the time with pictures of cars and plates.

But your logic should also apply to decals which help distinct a vehicle if someone forgets the plate number or didnt have time to snap a pic.

I’d be more worried to have illegal stuff on my Jeep, such as exagerated protruding tires or uncovered light bars that really gets attention and might get you pulled over at the most unopportunate time.

That’s a good one. I had CRUSSH on my Hugger Orange Camaro SS back in the day.

of course, i've typically had my Ham Radio Call Sign on my J**p; not exactly a Vanity Plate, but it's the most J**p thing to do (if you can).

my cars and motorcycles typically wear something related to their model number; i like it better than some random alphabet soup.

other than that, some of my favs i've seen:

a dentist, that had 2THDOC
a gay guy that had 6ULDV8

I voted neither. If you go places I try to go, don’t spend the extra money. Save it for duct tape and zip ties. Here’s why:
  • It will get ripped off from thinking “It will be tight but I think we can do this”
  • You’ll notice it missing and convince the wife you need to backtrack to find it (Pack out everything packed in)
  • After doubling your fun errrr, your day, you won’t find it and will need to order yet another opportunity to do a tough trail twice
  • If you do find it, you’ll have to pound it flat and remount it with duct tape and zip ties
Genius, pure genius. Yet my wife is convinced I’m an idiot….. Bwa haa haa

neighbor bought a wrangler and put "jeep392" on his plate... when he moved out of his rental home he left a bunch of garbage and junk all in front of the home... asshole. I'll remind him of that when I see his jeep again. hehe

 lol.

@tavani21 I've had personalized plates for years without any problems. So, don't worry about that unless you plan on robbing a bank someday. I voted "Wrnglr", but as some have said why state the obvious. However it's your Jeep, make it your own. Our opinion are just that, opinions. And you know what they say about opinions. :)

Maybe something like "JEEPXR" (if available) if you can only have 6 letters. That will set it up as something to describe the trim. Just a thought.

Totally for the vanity plate, but I don't get the point of a vanity plate that tells you what you already know.

I voted neither. As others have mentioned, it is staying the obvious.

I'm a NY Rangers fan so my plate is "NYR.HCKY" and love it. During the summer when the roof is off i've had people who are driving by yell out "let's go Rangers!" while i'm sitting at a traffic light waiting to turn or something.

My vanity plate (my username) was created for my first Jeep as a play on the Jeep wave (not the program). When I sold the Jeep, I used it for a couple of Subaru's. When I bought my current Jeep, the salesman told me that I needed to get a vanity plate; I told him that I have the plate, I just need to buy a Jeep now.
