2024 Wrangler Sahara. Built March 2024, bought May 2024. Have auto start/stop eliminator and 2 KC Pillar lights (on aux 3) and used 2x, now.

I’ve tried all the reset types, soft reset, hard reset, pulled F11 & F97, searched for Uconnect updates, connected to WiFi, and still can’t get USB 1 (or 2) to recognize my phone or CarPlay. Bluetooth music works but no CarPlay. It worked as normal Sunday then yesterday nothing.
Could it be the auxiliary battery going out?
Anything else I missed you can suggest?

thanks!

Both look good. Seated well before being pulled and no sign of pop when pulled to examine.

thanks, for the quick response and suggestion, @agentdr8

Ope.
- my Apple pro max is up to date and all apps too. I powered down and up the device.

Are you wired or using wireless dongle? Try a different cable or dongle?

After ios26 on my iphone16, CARPLAY stopped working. Bought a newer cord and it worked. Only tried wired. Also, Google Maps was now the Nav program on CarPlay, UNLESS.. I set up my route on the phone using Apple Maps….THEN plug into Jeep. (Google Maps was much better display IMO, but lacks the share ETA as far as I know).

Every time my CarPlay wont work, over multiple vehicles, it’s been the cable going out. Swapping cables fixed it every single time.

Another thought is if your phone is older, perhaps the lightning/USB-C receptor on the phone is worn and not getting good contact with your cable.

Have you verified the USB ports are providing power/charging (to devices other than your iPhone)? If they are not, but fuses are fine, it's possible the module in the dash is bad.

This was my initial thought. As long as your cable works with other outlets and all the software is up to date, my next guess would be media hub.

Have you tried turning smart charging setting off on the phone? Mine in my 21 gladiator would work fine wired until charged then constantly disconnect. I ended up getting a wireless dongle for it and use that now. It was also very picky about USB C cables.

I only use wireless CarPlay in my 24 with an apple wireless MagSafe charger hooked to the 12 volt power outlet adapter.
