Mine has the bells and it whistles on or off road. Trails and off roading.. And love the sound of my super loud turbo whistle. I do have a Boomerang color matched spare tire cover. Because I love the clean look. But I do not crawl in or around the mall’s. Arrrff arrrfff

Just my 3 cents

There is a positive side to what some call mall crawlers..... In the two wheeled world, some called them hollywood riders/glamor riders and such.

i think many of us forget that they actually make up a significant portion of the aftermarket for manufacturers/vendors including vehicle manufacturers like Jeep. This in turn gives them their return from all the R&D and can help drive competition which in turn can at times, lower prices.

I also see them on the road and think, oh they don't hit the dirt. At times, I am jealous as they don't have to clean their rigs as often nor as intensely as I do. But its not my rig, nor my right to tell someone what they should/shouldn't do. How many sportbikes don't go to the track, how many sports cars never venture near a roadcourse?

I am glad we have what we call mall crawlers that purchase aftermarket parts. Jeep and the aftermarket support didn't come to what it is today just solely by those that spend time in the dirt. Even in the dirt, there are many levels of "wheeling". There are even those that looks down on who they call "soft wheelers". We all have our place and likes, not everyone has the same interest.

Also glad not every Jeep owner wheels, can you imagine if they all did how crowded the trails would be? Let alone other brands joining in as a must hit the dirt.

I did watch that video when it came out and definitely didn't like the overall message they were sending. Heck, how many of their own subscribers don't wheel? There is always the holier than thou crowd in every industry.

Yep, he spent a shitload on high-end rock crawling gear, but only those components that looked cool to the casual observer. I almost feel bad for people that live in states like Florida and Texas that have so few places to go off road.
Obviously this person has never been to the State of Texas! We don’t have to look for off road places.

Huh? Aren't there very few decent off roading trails in Texas?

It's interesting when people do things half-assed explicitly due to knowing they'll never take it off road.

Y is this stuff still on youtube? I can not stand a minute of this stuff.

I tried to talk my girl onto OF. $20 is $20

I don't actually go into the off road side of YouTube, so I didn't know anything about their channel. My YT subs are all aviation, naval WWII history, and science. Just realized none of them have hot women :headbang:

No interest in seeing how apparently foolish some people can be when building their rigs, along with a comparison of that facade with an incredibly well built rig?

I thought they went out of their way to affirm "to each their own" - and the owner was right there laughing along with them.

Exactly. The majority of the responses here seem to have a "I'm holier than those people...fuck, where's my tissue???" attitude.

What was the overall message they conveyed that you didn't like? They obviously had no holier than thou attitude, so maybe you're talking about the responses here?

There was a recent thread here with posters calling people "morons" for buying a Jeep they don't intend to wheel. Imagine their reaction to not only buying a Jeep, but then spending ten of thousands of dollars on half-building a rig they don't intend to seriously wheel.

My position is consistent - I have no problem with people spending their money on what they enjoy.

I mean, if you dump 30k into a Jeep like in the video you are a moron. However its your right to be a moron, its also someones right to call you a moron for doing moron things.
