Uconnect sucks

I had my 8.4 nav replaced again and took months for SiriusXM and guardian to get straightened out. Traffic and weather don’t work and software is old version and nav version is 2 years older than my jeep. Think dealer will update?

A dealer will try to do anything if the price is right. Are you still under warranty?

Note that built-in nav is notoriously outdated, especially in comparison to more modern approaches that update daily / weekly.

Yeah , it’s under warranty. Once extended warranty expires I sell them. The unit they took out had a newer nav update. Took 5 months fighting with SiriusXM and guardian to get it working because it was registered to a 2020 jeep

Our 2015 Charger R/T also has Uconnect, but I've never had an issue with it. Yeah, the Nav always sucked, but so did every other manufacturer installed Nav I've ever had like Ford and Nissan. I use Google Maps via Android Auto with up-to-date maps and traffic.

You do know you can do the radio number change online and it takes a few minutes and a $15 fee. Worked like a charm for me.

Don't waste your time or money buying the latest map updates. They'll still be outdated.
