Uconnect App Question

So I have a1500 with the 8.4 radio and have access via the app to remote start my truck. I am planning on getting the 8.4 on the Jeep, but I didn’t know if that radio also supports the app. If it does, do I still need to add on the remote start system for the app to remotely start the Jeep? I know I will lose the remote start function from the fob, but don’t really care about that if I can remote start from the app.

Yes, you still have to have the remote start system, including the fob, for Uconnect to be able to start it.

The jeep supports the remote start app on your phone fro Sirrus Guardian. It is one year free then you have to pay for the ability to remote start from your phone. And it is crazy expensive. The key fob does work with the remote start as long as the jeep comes equipped with it. Think it is the cold weather package,,,
