Two USB-C ports on dash MOD?

I haven’t owned a USB-A device in years. All my devices are USB-C.

Is there a mod to replace my USB-C/USB-A ports on the dash with
USC-C/USB-C ports?

I am not a fan of Accessory Port adapters, or any USB-A to USB-C adapters, etc…just checking if the USB-A port can be removed and replaced with a USB-C port.

Easiest is probably just an A to C adapter. Something like this:

The other easy method is to get a USB-A to USB-C cable.

AFAIK, nobody makes a replacement media panel with 2 USB-C ports. If you're handy with electronics, you could probably swap out the USB-A port with a USB-C port, but would likely require some customizations.

It probably much easier and practical to locate the other 3 USB-C ports closer to the driver than modifying the dash A to C.

Nice, I did a similar mod to my old YJ.
@donmontalvo nobody makes a direct swap for that spot. Your only choice is adapters or to make your own hole and use the one above.

Those are mini USB.
Seems the benefit of USB-C might be nil once converted to the older mini.

I had my console panel removed earlier today and noticed the Mini B plugs. My goal is to swap out the USB-A port for a USB-C port, without losing CarPlay capability on the top (“#1”) USB-C port. Wireless CarPlay is a joke from what I’ve seen.

I think I will run a Powerwerx dual USB-C QC 4.0 connector to the front of the center console storage area, facing the cupholders. Will post whatever I come up with.

On a side note, funny how you seem to have your Accessory Port wire taped off with blue painters tape. I removed my Accessory Port so I could install the Redarc dial…but I used black electrical tape to isolate the same wires.

Nice, and clean! Unfortunately I have my Redarc brake controller dial there, so I can always glance at it.
