Let's talk turbos
I have a 2021 3.0 and the factory turbo failed. Dealership has installed two and both failed.

Any aftermarket that I can get now that are magnificent.

I'm talking creme de La creme. Not bottom of the bucket cheap.

Do they lift the body to replace the turbo?

Are you idling your Jeep to cool it off before shutting down? My guess is your shutting it down hot and the oil is cooking inside the turbo.

Your manual has recommendations for when you should idle and cool down before shutting off the engine. Every time I go to shut down I put my heat on full blast and wait until my engine oil temp falls below 200° F before I shut down. Excessive? Most likely, but this engine runs hot and heat soaking your turbo with hot oil will cause issues sooner or later.

Letting the turbo cool down is key. I monitor my turbo temp with a scangauge and make sure the temp drops below 400 before I turn off the engine. This number falls in line with the idling time recommendations in the manual.

I would be wondering why 2 attempted installs of factory parts failed

I am surprised they didn't say the fried turbos were your fault for not letting the engine cool down before turning it off...

The 24’ 2.0T I have has a water pump that continuously circulates coolant even after the engine is shut down thermostatically controlled.

I hear it run a lot after shut off when outdoor ambient temps are high (summer). On cool mornings after shut off no pump.

Also a really high quality PAO synthetic oil if used has a higher boil point for lack of a better technical term and shouldn’t allow turbo cooking. Temps would have to exceed 520F continuously.

Good to know we got the '24 3.6 for solely offroading. I will be sure to watch for that. Thank you!

Fantastic information. No. When the check engine light came on and throttled me down to 45 mph it was ran hard out of town and back home at high speeds so that makes complete sense.

What was the cause of the failure? Seems very out of the ordinary to have 3 turbo failures. How many miles do you have?
Per the last text from the service writer it's a software issue.
