It just started raining again in the PNW, and I found water pooling in the left corner closest to the driver, driver side floor mat. These are the rubber MOPAR/Jeep floormats. I have the drain plugs set up to work, with 3M door sealant around them. The carpet under the floor mat was wet.

A few facts:
1) I have had the windshield replaced by Safelite TWICE.. once due to a trip to Tuktoyaktuk.. and then again because a local rock damaged my wind shield. Dumb luck. The last replacement was two weeks ago. This is the first time it has rained since I had it replaced. I did not have the issue before, but, it also has not rained here in months. I can not find any obvious leaks inside the Jeep, around the wind shield. (yes, this is the obvious cause.. but more on that below).
2) I checked to see if I had some sort of problem with water coming up the drain plug. The Jeep sits in my driveway at a 4% incline. Front of the vehicle higher than the back.
3) Pooling issue seems to happen when it sits in the driveway.
4) There are no obvious signs of water flowing. The door is dry all the way around. Everything visible is dry, with the exception of the pooling water.
5) I put paper towels down on the floor mat to see if I could catch any drips. I pulled the carpet up to reveal bare floor, and was able to find this:
Jeep Wrangler JL Troubleshooting a leak! jeepleak

The carpet is pulled up. The red line shows the parameter of the water saturation. The water seems to be coming from under the door sill (driver side). I removed the trim. No obvious signs of water. The underside of the grey wire carrier may be damp, hard to tell. I put down new paper towel, and I will check it again when the rain starts up again.

Any suggestions on where I should check next? Are there any water channels near there I can check for clogs? I

Hey William, do you have any update on this? I'm having a similar issue after 5 days of snow, freezing rain, -10 C weather, ice and now +10 C weather and a ridiculous amount of rain. I also have Mopar mats, drain plug installed in the mats as well as a drain plug installed in the floor. I had a pool of water towards the middle of the driver side mat, except I only noticed this when I went to go wash/vacuum my Jeep. I lifted the all weather mats and found the carpet to be soaked on the drivers side in the middle. I also park my Jeep on the driver at a small incline, reversed in of course but I can't see why that would cause an issue. Anyways, please let me know if you found anything. Thank you

Update: Leak is now worse with increased rainfall. I’ve tried to diagnose it myself but since it’s a 2021, going to take it to the dealership for warranty work and let their certified water leak “technician” have a look at it.

If you are under warranty, definitely make it their problem!

Mine seems to have resolved with getting the windshield replaced (again). I also park it on the inclined driveway in reverse.. so I did two things that potentially fixed the issue.

I have noticed that the carpet feels a bit damp, but not wet.. the rubber mat also seems to have an issue with water not evaporating. It is super humid here in the PNW the last few weeks, so that may have a lot do to with it.

The trick I did to find the leak.. I pulled the driver side carpet up. That is pretty easy to do... I then placed paper towels down on the bare metal floorboard. I checked it every couple of hours to source where the leak was coming from.

There is also this TSB to check out: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/a-pillar-water-drip-tsb-23-041-21-rev-a.102772/

Awesome, thank you for the information. I'll let the dealership know about the TSB just in case they are unaware. I got an appointment booked for January 5th, for now I'm just going to leave it parked in the garage and take my wife's Corolla lmao.

That TSB isn't really for the same thing, its for the water that drips when the door is open. You clearly have a real, significant leak. Should be easy enough for them to find.

Daughter headed back to school 2 weeks ago. Was in her JL to clean it out this morning. Pull the floor mats and under the drivers mat it's soaked, just like @AC87 pic above. Did anyone ever find a solution?
We've had some pretty good rain the past couple of weeks so assuming it's from that. The Jeep hasn't been driven since she left so it's not coming from the drain plugs. Has to be dripping in from above somewhere.

It took 2 trips to the dealership to get this sorted out. My dealership has a leak specialist, so upon receiving my jeep back, a lot of seals along the door trim, windshield trim, lower door trim have what looks like "patches of additional foam/rubber" in certain areas, cosmetically it looks fine and you can't even notice it unless you really look. That's what fixed the leak and made the difference, have not had an issue since.

Thanks. Going to give the dealership a call tomorrow. Was washing it yesterday and didn't notice any additional water inside but the way the water comes off the roof rain gutter, it runs right down the front seal of the door and I could see if the seal was compromised somehow, how it could let in water.

Went to the dealership. Found it right away. Something to do with the rubber strip on the drivers door. I think it had pulled away from the door frame in one section so the water was getting by it and down to the floor. Then either re-glued it or replaced the seal. All good now.
I know everyone knocks on the dealer service dept. but I have to say, we've have good experience with Imperial Jeep in Mendon, MA. Granted, haven't been for anything major but the couple times we had to go they have been prompt and fixed the issue.
There was one time my daughter went for an oil change and asked about some issue with the lights. The tech took a look and said, Is your father handy. Yes, then tell him to do xyz and it will work fine so I don't have to charge you a bunch of money to fix it. I thought that was pretty nice of him.
