Trickle charger needed?

I’m going to use my JL only on weekends now. 6- speed manual, half doors , bikini top . Cargo cover. Basically my sports car! Do I need to keep it on a trickle charger with this Euro’d Up dual battery setup? Thanks folks

YES, you would be prudent to do so.

Use a decent 10 amp battery tender/maintainer (not a full blown battery charger) that is approved for use with AGM batteries.

Attach that battery tender/maintainer to the Pos and Neg terminals of the Main battery.

The Main and Aux batteries are hooked up in parallel, so attaching the battery tender/maintainer as mentioned, will keep BOTH batteries maintained.

You can leave the tender/maintainer attached 24/7, 365.

If you park outdoors, another option is a solar panel such as Cascadia 4x4's hood panel. No need to hook anything up between drives.

Yup, that's what I've done. The smaller Rubicon one pushes around 25v in the direct winter sun. I'll check again this summer as well.

I drove my Liberty once a week when I didn’t pull it behind my motorhome. Never had a battery problem. In 18 yrs I replaced the battery twice.
the biggest problem was rusty brakes. Had to drive it or pay.

Im using my new Wrangler as my daily driver. Can't let it sit. It's too much fun.
