I have been thinking about one. My question is: I have the newer 3.6 eTorque system, so there is only 1 12v battery up top, and a 48v battery (Li ion) down under. If I understand the system right, the generator charges the 48v battery when running and then the 48v actually charges the 12v via a separate circuit. So, if I put a maintainer on the 12v battery up top, does it have any affect on the 48v battery? Do I need something different? Do I need anything at all?

The service mgr at my dealership said that the 12 volt is independent of tbe 48, so my guess is that the trickle charger charges only the 12V.
