That is exactly what happens when the human driver is in control. In traffic, as the car in front of you speeds up or slows down, you adjust throttle only most of the time to maintain safe distance. Exactly like ACC. No need for brake lights. When car in front abruptly slows, or stops, and...
Brake lights wont come on when merely slowing down, but they should when ACC actually activates the brakes. Same as they function when ACC is not being used. Only when brake is activated do they come on.
I have been thinking about one. My question is: I have the newer 3.6 eTorque system, so there is only 1 12v battery up top, and a 48v battery (Li ion) down under. If I understand the system right, the generator charges the 48v battery when running and then the 48v actually charges the 12v via a...
If you don't mind me asking, why on earth are you replacing the frame? Whatever damage, wouldn't either insurance or warranty repair/replace it? That seems like a extraordinary task. I envy your skill and daring.
I wouldn't argue with that! However, I went with Selec-Trac because I'll be on
True, this is Tucson. But less than 30 miles up the mountain to the North (about a 1-hour drive) is a ski lift. Currently there is a bit over a foot of snow up there. Changes from about 2500 feet elevation here...
I ordered the V6 with eTorque on my Sahara, because it was the only V6 with automatic. Only the Rubi could be ordered with the V6/no eTorque. Anyway, now I notice on the build that there is no mention of ESS, but there is a 600 Amp maintenance free battery, belt start generator, and oil...
I recently ordered mine, and it is on the rails--expecting by 25th! Debated the same choices you are for weeks. I went with the Sahara for one main reason: I wanted the Selec-Trac, which is full-time 4H Auto. Eliminates the need to anticipate when tires will slip and engage 4H manually. You...
I think you're right. I saw the maintenance free battery on my build sheet, and misinterpreted the 700 Amps, compared to the 120 ah ratings on the chargers. Still not clear on the difference, but maybe I'm getting wrapped around the axle where I don't need to. I'm looking at something like...
I got my VIN # on Dec 11th, just a couple days after the order. Today the dealer says I am in KZ status, so it should ship soon I think (if I understand the code correctly). Using the tool in the first post, I can find my build sheet using the VIN, so it is correct, but I still don't have a...
You got me eatin' my heart out! My helleyella just went into D1 build status, estimated shipping 8 Jan (if that holds). I hope there is still some snow up there when I take delivery. I went with the Sahara specifically for the Selec-Trac, thinking it would be best for snow-covered roads...
