Depending on what you want, and who is doing the install, it should be. If you're expecting a modest improvement, it should be much better than what's there from Jeep. The soundbar should be removed when you cut it (not necessary, but it is recommended), and most of the dash must come apart for the lower dash speaker install.

Does anyone know if this is a noticable upgrade from the stock Alpine system in the 24's?

I did the Kicker KS ones, the install was dead simple with TrailSeven's setup but the sound wasnt a massive improvement. Dont get me wrong, its definitely clearer sound. My next upgrade, very likely from them, is an amp and new sub. I have the upgraded factory speakers with the Alpine sub, this is definitely better but it's not going to blow you away without an amp from my experience. Maybe the Alpine speakers are really *that* much better but by the specs the KS are pretty equivalant. The factory amp just doesnt have the power to power these better speakers the right way.

I should have mentioned that I do have the upgraded Alpine from Jeep, but I am looking for something that sounds better. As I have never tried do any stereo install before, this looks like something that I could possibly do. Sounds like I will need to replace the amp as well.

I would definitely do it in stages. If you are going with their setup, its very easy to install (though the knee speakers are a bit of a pain LOL). If you aren't satisfied, then an amp install is a whole different thing anyway. You will tear the jeep down more but differently to install the amp AND depending on your route, you will perhaps need to replace the sub as well. So what I did was upgrade all the speakers (less the sub) and see how it worked out. The upgraded speakers honestly are not bad but I want a little more, especially topless running 70-80mph to the beach. So for me an amp makes sense but pretty sure when I spoke with the folks at Trail Seven, the factory amp bypass to keep from running all new speaker wires meant upgrading the sub....perhaps running a new wire back from the amp but either way the factory setup needed to be touched. Pulling the driver seat out, running the. power wire, other bits (watch their video if you havent for amp install) and then dealing with the sub, ehhh its more work....and a fair amount more $$

Talk to the guys there though, they are very smart and understanding. I didnt feel any pressure to buy, it was just here's the options, let us know how we can help kinda thing. Good luck!

Yes, I think I am going to start with the speakers and then see where I go from there. If I end up doing anything more than that, I will taking the Jeep somewhere to get the amp and/or sub replaced.
