Definitely an interesting thread. I think the jeep is a great daily, I daily mine to the tune of 90k miles in 4yrs. 50k miles of that was lifted and built to do stupid (fun) things. What my observation has been is that yes local opportunities to get off road help but you need a crew of...
Have one of those, havent installed it for over a year. partly because the list of mods to complete continues to grow and my time to do it shrinks every day it seems. partly because I enabled the horn alarm with the tazer if the hood is opened while the doors are locked. seems enough of a...
I'm planning on running an ipad mini for my maps. My original thought was connecting blutooth to my garmin inreach unit for GPS signal as that thing is more accurate than most other devices plus I own it already LOL
I was wondering if Gaia would run on the carplay setup through the screen on...
There's a ton of reviews online of the various styles of upgrades. Bulbs - you get more light but the lens perhaps isnt ideal for some of the bulb types out there. Then there's finding a set of OEM LED headlights someone is selling. They are really quite good but for the money you are into...
I just bolted them up on the hole from gatekeeper. They are Reid knuckles, no issues bolting them up. Had them powder coated to match so they look pretty "factory" Here's a shot before mounting the lights
Have had mine for about a year, wheeled it all over the US and in pretty much every condition. Zero issues. I run small KC lights and have not had a single problem with them. Mud, snow, ice, lots of water crossings, "mud pit" that I believe is also the septic system at the park LOL and every...
Have to give credit where it's due and offer some assurance when considering where to buy your lights. I bought the KC LED headlights for my JL, mounted them and have loved them for a while now. At some point I noticed they were difficult to clean up, seemed like they were scratched or perhaps...
Love my KC lights, have plenty of them for sure. Anyone had any issues with the headlights getting, well I dont know what it is. I've tried a few different cleaners and it doesn't feel like scratches but something is up with these. Hoping someone has some ideas on how to get these clear again
They are very similar in the mounts. Metal bracket up against the fender and then a screw at the far end. I've take all of the liners out of my fenders but here's a frontal view of them.
The American Adventure Lab ones are great, they are just expensive and you'd think they were shipping them via gold laced personal dispatch services but basically the same setup as Quake. Some might argue Quake stole their idea as they sorta came out after AAL had theirs on the market
For anyone not looking at the weather and considering a Uwharrie trip this weekend, it's closed. They say they are expecting over 6in of rain, which could really change the landscape up there.
I have a few of their things but want to get the drawer system. I dont have a problem with build quality thus far but geeze I can fly to UT and check the boxes as baggage for less than some of their shipping costs. The other thing is while I understand fully about material costs and inflation...
Is it just me or did their prices go up a fair amount? Shipping cost has been an issue with them but seems like their prices have gotten a bit ... expensive.
