Traffic for Navigation

I have a 2024 Rubicon that has a selection on the screen for traffic. I selected it but the traffic never appears on the screen. Is it an additional service from Tomtom or do I need to add wifi to my system? I'm stumped on this one.

Save yourself the headache and forget it exists -- OEM Navigation is garbage. I use mine as a third-line GPS redundancy only. Will always default to Apple Maps or Garmin first.

That's what I have arrived at so far but I'm curious that if there is a screen selection for live traffic then why doesn't it appear on my navigation screen? I'm thinking it is an additional service from Tomtom or do I have to buy a wifi package from the dealer to get it?

I see heavy traffic indications on mine (red and orange roads), and I have not setup anything special to do so. It doesn't show anything to indicate light/normal traffic. AFAIK I am still within whatever trial period(s) exists for the different services.

I have the older nav system with a trial subscription for traffic, but have never noticed it showing on the map. I live in the middle of nowhere's-ville so just assumed that the traffic conditions around here aren't regularly being monitored and reported by anyone to the service.

It would be a subscription from SiriusXM if you want it.

But yeah, don't use it. Just use Google Maps or Apple Maps.

I really like the nav app ’Waze’ real time updates from other wazers.

I actually like the Guardian map app..it shows the overhead signs and exits and off ramps perfectly.
