I have a 2024 Rubicon 4xe. I picked up some 392 wheels with TPMS still in them from a 2024. It took about 30 mins for my jeep to report that the prior TPMS was not available once the new wheels were installed. I have since driven the jeep for 30+ miles and they TPMS have not registered with my vehicle.

In all my research on here, it appears that Jeep’s TPMS system is smart enough to discover and register TPMS automatically, however that does not appear to be the case for me.

I have JSCAN, is there any procedure I need to do to “wake up” the TPMS or reset it forcing a discovery?

are you 100% sure the new wheels still had the correct sensors? I swap two sets of wheels back and forth on my 2024 ie stock wheels with 35x10 at's and a set of AEV wheels with 35x12.5-17 MT's and they register within a few minutes of driving..

As far as I am aware, yes. The seller was a shop that removed the wheels and installed new ones for their customer. They stated they had the TPMS so I can only go by trust currently.

I could try to break the bead on the spare to see if it does indeed have the sensor. I was hoping for an easy reset answer…but alas…

an easy way to see if the sensor is in place..just remove the valve stem core and try and run a stiff wire or broom straw down thru the valve stem..if it passes all they way there is no sensor attached to the valve stem.. the sensors are screwed into the bottom of the valvestem via a torx screw.

I think a tire shop would scan the tires for free if they had time and thought they might sell you some TPMS sensors

Thanks again, you just saved me a headache of trying to break the bead to see. My wheels DO NOT have TPMS installed as the seller stated unfortunately.

I recommend acquiring them from an authorized Mopar parts outlet and not from a third-party warehouse operation even if they say Mopar on the packaging. They very well were not made in Mexico.

bam auto is a jeep dealership...and allmoparparts is legit...they are a sponsor here and they factory ones are indeed made in Mexico. I have ordered from both places many times for mopar factory parts..

Why do people quote things that they have ZERO clue about. The factory Conti sensors are absolutely made in Mexico along with many other sensors.
