I bought some Rubicon wheels and tires from a 2020 to put on my 2020 Sport. They are on, but the TPMS isn't reading. everything I read says "it is automatic and they will pick up eventually" well I have been patient and driven 150+ miles and still nothing. Any advice?

Perhaps the previous owner removed the TPMS sensors from the wheels/tires to put on their new wheels/tires? If it is not reading at all either all 4 sensors are bad or there are no TPMS sensors present.

well it definitely isn't showing any, so apparently I was lied to. I specifically asked if they were in there and was told yes. Thats just a bad look to lie about it.

If you do buy new TPMS, sensors make sure to use OEM ones from the dealer or an online source. The knock off ones will read for a bit and then go bad or they will not read at all. It is not worth the hassle to save a few bucks on knock off sensors and then have to re-mount the tires and wheels when they do not read. Get them from a dealer or reputable source.

I still have my old tires and such, so just pulling them out and swapping them will be fine, correct?

That is an option but you will be charged for dismounting the tire from the old wheels and re-mounting them and the same for your new rubicon take offs. Not sure what the cost is but around here its about 20 dollars a tire or $110 (to remove TPMS from your old tires) . For 130 dollars or so you can get OEM TPMS and have two sets of wheels/tires. Personally I would just get new ones rather than go through the hassle of removing the old ones.

Technically yes. However you are going to incur costs that do not make sense to not just get a new set. Not only the cost to remove them but them you should be replacing the rubber valve part (only about a $3 part but you should replace them. Like mentioned above the cost to remove them, also is you are going to sell those I am sure they will sell for more with TPMS in them already.

I do not think your Sport has the TFA (Tire Fill alert) so you want Schrader 20398's. If you have the TFA then you want 29117. Many have purchased from here www.tpmsbargains.com
