i have the other set of pins on mine. yes they do pop which is annoying but i ignore it.
as far as the pins sticking, i sanded mine a little bit, and then put some grease on them and worked them in and out a few times. now they slide in and out easily and i like having them as much as my doors are on and off.

Yes, grease does help and sanding probably would have too. The ones from Mopar were coated in a fair amount of grease as well. Going to be standard practice for me, because it should also help extend the bushing's life.. Regardless of option, the quick disconnects do make taking the doors on and off a breeze and like you, since I have had them, I throw the doors on and off in multiple configurations all the time.

So, is the preferred method purchasing the Squirrelly quick connects, or is there now an improved method? I'm looking to go to half doors and would be switching between half doors and full doors more often than going without doors. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I did not have as much luck with this kit. I never had a "tooless" experience, I always needed pliers with extra grip to get the pins out and a hammer to get them back in. Could be user error 🤷‍♂️. I ended up pulling these brackets off and just went without the door holding itself open. No I can truly remove the doors without tools and or worrying about the detent.

I have a brand new set of the Squirrelly brackets I've been meaning to list for sale as I decided not to install them. Jumped the gun on the purchase and then realized I typically only swap my doors once a year or so and it just isn't worth my time to install them.

$60 shipped if anyone wants them, I'm out of town until Saturday but can get pics then.

Having had both, my preferred method for those without a 2026 is to just purchase the door catches from Mopar and use them. You can get two front catches (reversible L&R and two rear catches(specific to L & R) for the same amount as the Squirrelly brackets. I think the supply might be low, so I don't know how readily available they are (mine took about a week or so). I used the existing catches that were in my 2024 and just drilled out the bracket. I have a post earlier in this thread that explains what I did. Since the MOPAR package comes with the door catch, the bracket and pin, I still have the catches unused, but I also didn't have to remove the door skins and all that is involved with that. The current catches work great. In all, I think the Jeep 2026 version is superior when compared to the Squirrelly and other earlier bracket versions. They don't have to be painted, have the OEM look, and are a better fit in terms of function than the others. Just my 2 cents.

Do you have a link to the "Mopar Door Catches" you are referring to? Or a link to your previous post?

I just did the 26 conversion to my 24. Got the parts thru benny@allmoparparts.
just dm him and ask for the 2026 quick disconnect door checks for the 2 or 4 door.
He sent me a link and a code for discounted shipping. He also told me up front that these things run about 30 days to ship. Got mine in 3 weeks. So be prepared for a bit of a wait.
Got them installed with some help from YouTube University. Install was easy. Just take your time and watch as many videos as you can find on the install.
Definitely recommend this upgrade. Same factory quality. No more worry about the check bolt breaking the welded nut inside the tub….ask me how I know.

Yes, I’ve got part numbers and what I did earlier in this thread. I had already used Squirrelly’s instructions to drill out the pressed pins on the original bracket and I have added the size drill I used for the bushing. The pins used on the 2026 are slightly larger than the the original pressed pins or the 1/4” that Squirrelly uses but there is plenty of material and that size hole fits perfectly. Let me know if you can’t find it and I’ll repost.
