@TrailBuilt offered some brackets for tool free door removal.

I received the brackets and I have installed them and I find them to be a great mod so far!

When I first installed them, there was a little bit more play in the bracket than original.

I found a 1/4-5/16 bushing at tractor supply company. I drilled out the arm to 5/16 and pressed in the bushing, and this has removed any of the play from the arm.

Aside from that, I love that my doors are now tool free for removal and still have all of the factory function.

Thanks @TrailBuilt great thinking

I just unbolted mine and popped them in the door. It's basically like going back to the JK days where all you have is the strap. But, I pop doors on and off a lot. I don't even put the door bolts back in any more, plus I crunched one pretty good so...

I mean that is a pretty genius idea, it would be nice to have the detents at times. Especially when parked up hill and the door keeps closing.

I received mine also. I had planned to install this weekend but my wife had other plans for me. I have primed them and started painting them. They come bare steel but I wanted them black to look more factory.

Same here, when the weather is nice enough for doors off I'll get em painted and more permanent.

I got mine in the male a few days ago. I’ve already decided to do a bushing and/or spacers to close the gap. I will like also replace the pin with a locking type pin. Something similar to this.

I’m going to look into doing bushings also. With the way it is now the retainer arm makes a loud pop as it snaps into each detent on the arm. @TrailBuilt, if you make the next batch with 5/16” pins I think it would be an improvement.

My plan is to not even use the pin provided.

I don’t see the need for a locking pin. I don’t even have the bolts in my doors. The pins that came with mine have a ball detent in them to keep them from working out already anyway.

same here. got mine, havent had a chance to install them. like the rest of you, i like having the arm so the door doesnt go flying open and wind up smacking my hood or something. i am going to paint mine as well, and knock the edges down a little. mine were quite sharp. but definitely a cool product.

I got mine, was planning on installing and broke my foot at work instead. All of my projects have been put on hold.
I would have gone with installing these over breaking my foot but you do you.

Hope you get better soon. Make them give you a handicap sticker with a really long time before it expires
