Hey Joe, I've purchased two cans (originally just one) from you and I'm very surprised by the amount of oil that they are collecting. I had no opinion either way, but thought $150 I'll take a chance and see for myself the effectiveness of a catch can. I know all the haters this is not a scientific eval. Bottom 20/25% had oil in under 500 miles of around town under 35/40 mph driving.

I also having a LT1 crate motor installed in a JK and looking for catch can solution? I'm still a couple weeks of getting it back, but looking for a "CLEAN" mounting solution for the C7 can in a JK
Email me direct at [email protected] and I'll see what we can come up with.

Hey guys - i'm not new to catch cans (and i like the concept of them), but am new to the 2.0. I am getting the 3.6 and plan on getting a CC, but my wife is getting the 2.0. I dont see any mention of CCs for the 2.0. Are they out there? DO i maybe not understand the 2.0? Are they applicable to both engines?

I put a UPR catch can on my 3.6 a few weeks ago. The quality of the product is excellent and easy to install. I have put about 500 miles on my Jeep since installing. I plan on opening it up tomorrow and see how much is in the catch can. More details to come...

Here are my results with the UPR catch can on my JLR v6 from about 350 miles in temperatures ranging from when I first put it on in the 20s up to most recently a constant high 50s low 60s during the day. Seems to be about one ounce of oil. Not a terrible amount, but I expect more during cold months during next winter. Keep in mind what was collected was only in about 350 miles. This was more than I expected from a normally aspirated motor. Being a non direction injection motor, I’m not sure I’m terribly worried about gunked up valves, but I do worry a little about the dilution of octane.

Thanks for sharing and being so detailed the unbiased results give fellow enthusiasts a lot more confidence in what to expect.

That sounds about normal with the 3.6 as they do move a good amount of oil. The big thing to remember is in the average 3500 miles between oil changes that's 10 ounces. Most of the engines we see with the UPR Plug n Play™ Catch Cans on benefit greatly and they only capture 4 ounces in the same 3500 miles.

You are absolutely right about the octane degradation is one of the biggest benefits from a UPR Plug n Play™ Catch Can system to eliminate the OIL INGESTION in the combustion chamber. Removing all this oil from being ingested makes a HUGE difference in the overall drivability and performance of the 3.6L engine and your JEEP will thank you for it.

The mounting location we selected helps to reduce condensation and delivers better performance compared to the catch cans that are mounted at the outside of the engine bay. It's nice to see the real world benefits and results being shared on the UPR Plug n Play™ Catch Can Systems.

I am wondering if I can buy just the catch can fittings and those fancy hoses. I already have a spare catch can I like.
Anybody know what these hose fitting/ connectors are called?
Hello everyone:

I'm using this oil can catch. I´m happy with it. However, take care of it, because it have an internal filter fixed with two small screws. After high milleage, one of the two screws came out of it position and went to the bottom of the can. When I refilled the engine oil with the content of the ol can catch, that little screw must have gone into the engine too...

So if you will or if you are using this oil can catch modell, I recomend to filter the oil collected into the can, before to refill the engine with it.

Due the oil can catch position, you will not see properly if the two screws
that are fixing the internal filter, are in place.

Additionally, using the filter of an Italian coffee maker, I create a pre-filter for the engine oil inlet. I've locked it in that position.

See the pictures.

Regards.

Why on earth would you dump the contents back into the engine?

This ^. I understand this oil to be mixed with fuel vapors and what not and not sure I’d want to put that back in the engine. I believe this oil should be discarded.
