A fellow forum member, @Gregj, fabricated his own bumpers with an identical aesthetic. I'd certainly buy one if it ever went into production.I love the clean, simple look of the old school front bumpers. Does anyone have any idea what kind of a PITA this would be if even possible?
link to pic here for the bumper I am referring to.

I'm first in line, having already mentioned the same thing to him.@Gregj you taking orders?
Yeah, something like that. LOLPiece of channel iron and a good drill? Black spray paint? Pretty much what Jeep did for the TJ![]()
Yours actually looks 100x better than the standard TJ front bumper. If they would have used yours it would have been much better designed with hooks and lights.Yeah, something like that. LOL

Thanks, I wanted to keep the modern lights and recovery points with old school aesthetic. I didn’t use channel iron as it has a sharp corner, the CJ bumpers have a rounded edge. I started with 6x6 square tube. I used 1/4 wall but I think *if* I ever did it again I would use 3/16. Drilling all those holes in thick metal sucks! And it would be a bit lighter, ?.Yours actually looks 100x better than the standard TJ front bumper. If they would have used yours it would have been much better designed with hooks and lights.
I was just getting ready to tag him here if someone hadn't already. I like the take he had on the rear bumper as well.A fellow forum member, @Gregj, fabricated his own bumpers with an identical aesthetic. I'd certainly buy one if it ever went into production.
The aftermarket seems to be stuck on variations of a single front bumper design for the JL, so you may have to DIY a similar solution.
As for the rear bumper, this one deserves a little credit for its attempt at the old school look.
