I am new to the Jeep community. I have a two-door sport S. I'm looking to get bigger tires. Mostly used for daily drives. There's also some off-roading. Which tires should I consider? What changes should I make to my Jeep? Also on a budget.

Welcome - I know this is your first post so I’ll just kindly mention you should use the search bar as there are many threads on tires and lifts.

With that said, youā€˜re going to need to be more specific on what off-roading you (actually) do and what your budget is.

Thanks for the welcome! Apologies for the general question, I’ll make sure to check the search bar more closely next time. As for my Jeep, I have a 2-door Sport S and mostly use it for daily driving with occasional off-roading. My off-roading is mostly light trail riding and some gravel roads, not too much rock crawling or extreme conditions. I’m looking for tires that will perform well on both pavement and the occasional trail, but I’m also on a budget of under $3k. Any suggestions on tire size, brand, and any necessary upgrades?
Also I've come across a set of wheels and tires for 2k. It's LT285/70R17 falkon widepeak AT. What do you suggest?

Can't go wrong with falken wild peak. When it comes to tires you're going to get opinions good/bad on every brand. Honestly, you can't go wrong with all terrains from any of these brands, BFG, falken, mickey Thompson, nitto, toyo, general grabber. I have 33" BFG ko2 all terrains. They have been great for me on desert roads/trails, rocks, moderate snow, mountain roads

To be fair, that search function is NOT great.

Looks good flip!

Thanks guys. let me see were I can start.
I think ill get some 285 tires on it first and deal with the lift later. One at a time. Those tires would fit on stock without any mod i suppose.

I purchased a 2021 Wrangler Sport 2-door. I installed a 2 1/2 Rough Country lift (using the stock springs). Rough Country gets a lot of negative reviews but this is my second and both have done great. I -ur hazes 4 used 12 1/2 x35 and install3d them. Had to purchase 35 inch spare to make it look better. Total cost was about $1000. It looks good to me.

You just gave me the last push to decide to sell my current tires and finally get the 35 MT BB AT pizza cutters I’ve been yearning for - I’ll post them up tomorrow in the marketplace.

in case you’re interested, and depending where you are in Ontario, I’d be happy to find a day to make the deive and meet you halfway. And I’ll list them for $1,250. they’re 285/70r17 General Grabber ATx and have less than 6k miles on them (rotated them at 5k).

pic from when they just had been installed, and before I put the lift on, so you can see how they look. Yours is a 2-dr Sport and mine is a 4-dr Sahara, but we got the same fenders:

and actually this is a pic from today that I posted earlier:

I put Toyo Open Country RT Trail tires on my 2 door back in the fall. I’m really liking them, ride comfort, noise, looks are so much better than the stock Firestones. 285/70R17C. About as big as you can go without a lift or gear change.

A great way to upgrade & lift a Sport on a budget is with Rubicon take off wheels, tires & suspension.
