Only problem with metal fenders is when you do hit them they tend to do more damage than plastic ones.

Yes, a lot more damage to the body...A buddy had them on his JLR and after paying to fix all the body damage, tossed them in the dumpster and went back to all black plastic OEM.

Good Morning Jeepers. I have a 24 JLUR, all stock for the moment. I was just wondering if I can put on and drive with 37s and no lift for the time being. I will be ordering a lift and more parts next month but the lead times are 3-5 weeks. I can get the wheels and tires much sooner. I would like to drive on them and such but not sure if i can do that without the lift.

I had jlur and drive it in tge street with 37s for 2 weeks before I got my lift.. No issues but they were k02s so on tge smaller size

probably worth pointing out that those are aftermarket wheels with non-stock backspacing.

I had 37's on my new 24 JLUR when I first got it because I was still waiting for all the parts and pieces to show up for my lift and didn't have any issues with them clearing and there was zero rub anywhere lock to lock. I thought it looked a little funny sitting on 37's with no lift but other then that it was all good. Here's a pic of mine sitting on 37's with no lift.

I would just wait, they will rub. But its your money.
I assume you dont plan on doing any wheeling til you lift it? I'd wait..
I may do some standard trail riding but not getting into anything that may require articulation or off camber
