Tire Wear Question

If I did not ever rotate the tires on my 2018 JLUR, always ran on-road in 2 Wheel High, would the front tires or rear tires tread depth wear out faster? I understand the front tire "edges" would wear from turning, but just regarding tread depth, which would wear out first? Thank you.

The rear but it would hardly be noticable unless you burn out all the time. RWD primary vehicles wear the rear tires faster, however, the front tires are handling the load for braking and turning - so any wear difference would be very minimal.

Tread depth in the rear would wear quicker, as others have said.

In my experience, while not worn down, you're far more likely to get an abnormal/uneven wear pattern in the fronts before wearing down your rears, if you never rotate.

So keep that front end aligned properly to fight that uneven/abnormal wear.

A buddy of mine told me he never rotated his tires, and me driving Toyotas that need to be rotated every 5k at least, I didn't believe him. However when I got my Wrangler I tried it and sure enough, I have not once rotated my tires and they are wearing evenly. Solid front axle keeping the wheels level vs. independent suspension always pushing the toes in I guess.

When you rotate your tires you're spreading the wear across five tires instead of four.
