(Let me preface this is not my Jeep but someone that is on a page I follow)...

The caption explains what happened...but with the way the JL glass cracks at the slightest provocation I can’t even imagine how it would hold up if this happened to it :surprised:

As soon as I saw the picture I started singing Safelites jingle.

Safelite repair, satelite replace.
I bet Safelite is making bank off all the JLs with windshield replacement.

Advantage of having a short windshield, the frame stopped the tire.

I knew someone who had this happen to their wife in her suburban, the wheel blew through the interior and out the back - luckily she was alone and it wen through the passenger side.

How do you know it was a tire and not just a typical JL rock chip! :CWL:

Last year I was driving down a city freeway on a sunday morning and noticed in the distance what looked like a tire bouncing 15-20 feet high in my (left) lane coming toward me. No one else swerved, but after two more bounces it was coming down right at me. I jerked the wheel to the left where there was no shoulder, just the median barrier. I probably missed that barrier by six inches.
I never saw the tire hit again behind me, nor did I see anyone else swerve, nor any disabled car in the oncoming traffic lanes. I swear I saw that tire, but all the other visual evidence suggests that I imagined the whole thing. I still don't know...
