Hi all,

Can anybody help me figure this out without going to the stealer.
solid red- no number displayed on my tire pressure sensor. It just shows a “red minus”

I’ve switch sensors and didn’t help
I’ve unmarried the taser - nothing
Ive gone underneath and didn’t see anything obvious
Tire light also flashing for while before just being solid

If anyone knows anything about this and can help…see below pic

I'd need more specific info but.....

Make sure the Psi on all 4, on the ground tires are set to exactly what the the driver's door placard recommends. Then go for a ride... Hopefully, all will display after a mile or so.. AFTER all TPMS's are reading you can change the psi on the tires to whatever you desire.

IF a no go then ...

IF you place another wheel from your JL in that R rear position do you still have the issue with that R rear position?

Have you placed your spare in that R rear position to see if you get a readout.

You/we are trying to de-deuce if it is just a problematic TPMS sensor in the one wheel that is currently in the R rear position.

By the way, explain this --> " I’ve switch sensors and didn’t help"

I’ve tried everything you said
I didn’t mention the psi but I’ve done it first. I’ve had them all at 37 before (I know it’s not now)
Sorry meant I switched tires already and did try it from the spare and didn’t help
I’m pretty sure the sensor itself is ok but not sure where else to check…

I’ve only tried the spare to the R Rear.
I hate to have to switch another wheel but maybe I could 🥲

@JL2021

Also try: --> The current thought by most TPMS retailers/vendors, that IF you have one or more sensors not reading on a say a JL/JLU/JT, you deflate all tires to 12# below the recommended tire pressure, driver's side door sticker that tells you recommended tire psi. Now, after they are deflated you drive say a half mile. Now, you inflate all tires to +- 1# psi, of the recommended psi on the driver's side door placard and go for a mile drive.. This scenario/routine is suppose to wake up the sensors, so to speak and get them reading...

If I had had more info initially, I would have mentioned this from the get-go..

when you say you switched the tires, exactly what do you mean? I assume you mean rotated tires. Is it the same wheel causing you problems or is the same wheel position?

Something is wrong with it bc it says “service tire pressure system”. Also on the L rear it won’t even register that I reduced pressure to around 30
Stuck at 36

anyway I’ll pump them all up back to 37 roughly

@JL2021guy

I'm lost in regard to what you have or have not tried... How about now, taking the rt. front wheel and swapping it with the right rear wheel. Then, set all 4 tires on the ground to the psi that the driver's side door placard says to use. Now go for a ride, say about a mile.

What is the result now. Do you still have nothing displayed for the rt rear..

I’ll switch rt front to rt rear and see what happens

I’ve tried everything else above you mentioned except that

If you do and that right rear still does not display, then it is an issue with a tpms receiver and not an issue with TPMS sender in the wheel
