Tint Type: Ceramic vs. Nano Carbon

I asked for a quote to tint my JL Sports front windows. They guy gave me 2 options: Ceramic vs. Carbon film. Whats the difference? Do you guys know what type JL Sport back windows tint type is? What about the back tintpercentage? I basically want to match the back. I've read its 20% but also i've read 15%..

You also want to check the laws in your state! Often the tint percentage on the front windshield and front doors will be less than you can do on the other windows. Some of it has to do with Law Enforcement being able to see what the driver is doing in the vehicle!

Get the ceramic. I have 35% on the back, 15% for the front, and some light tint on the windshield.

Suntek CIR ceramic tint.

Sure thing. Custom Car Stereo and Tint in Farmer’s Branch. Off of Midway and 635. They also have a location in McKinney. Ask for Ryan. They usually don’t charge tax if you pay in cash. They’re good to work with and do quality work too.

Looks great... I may visit them and would love to goto 15% on the fronts but worried I'll get harassed by the cops. I know 25% in the fronts is legal in Texas....maybe pick somewhere in between like 20%. Do you remember the % for your windshield?

Ceramic is better as it cuts down and allows less heat into the car so if cool”er” interior is your priority then spend the extra money. If looks is what you are going for non ceramic is just fine.

Thanks. I’ve been reassured many times that the 15% is fine and would pass inspection. I don’t recall the front percentage exactly, but there’s a slight tint to it. It reduces heat significantly and looks like you’re looking through a pair of slightly dimmed sunglasses. Has a nice warm appearance to it.

Nice man! Glad to hear it. There’s a bar called the Londoner right down the road and within walking distance. May be worth checking out today while you’re waiting for the job to be done. Quite a few other restaurants in the area too.

I had some tints put on my jk...and they'e very reflective at night....I hate it. Is there a type of tint less prone to reflections?
