I think someone said something about ordering the older part number. But no, I don’t think anyone is trying anything illegal here.

owners will have engineer this one most likely..my ideas is trace and cut out an aluminum sheet base and attach the leather that is trimmed to follow the contours of the handle .. something that one would see in any other vehicle basically . Screw holes would be made in the aluminum or maybe even some clips that easily pop out for ease of access .

I saw this on aliexpress today also. This would make it easier to make a boot for it because the contours are there already.. but all this is just a plastic cover and not an actual boot ..that color won't be an exact match for our interior but one can probably change that .

U know, I was trying to make sense of that comment but I gave up. It struck me weird

I'll order that and have a go at it. (takes 3-4 weeks to ship from China though). However if you somehow fabricate something nice, maybe don't mind an extra customer? wink wink.

I will be looking into this in the future ,but not anytime soon and post pics once I do get the chance. I'l try not to do something illegal as one of the posters said.. hee hee

Damnit, I found this thread with hope, and now leave defeated. I dropped a credit card down there and did what everyone else has done. I’ve got a gorilla glue setup on there now with some pressure holding it in place. Will see how that turns out.

May be going with the black screw idea.

I bought one of those car seat gap fillers, which has a slit intended for the seat belt receptacle. It happens to fit perfectly over the parking break and prevents anything from falling into that gap under the parking brake.

So I joined this club last night. Dropped credit card and thought the trim would pop out and back in. For those that used the JB Weld solution, had that held up over time? If so, can you provide the type of glue you used? TIA!
