When I pulled the stock ball joints, they had so much free play you could just shake it back and forth and see it move all over the place.I though mine going bad at 13K was bad.....

I’ve been following them for awhile, and they’re still on my short list….Hoping to make an initial decision soon. Then I’ll change it 3 or 4 times, then I’ll buy something. LolSo, which one did you choose?
Thoughts on doing iron knuckle conversion at the same time as doing ball joints? Saves a lot of time?
I bought mine about a year ago while accumulating parts for a refresh. Yours aren’t red? Makes me want to open the box. lol Those look good.Great video, very happy with my purchase

Damn, thank God your alive and not dead. This happened at 10k, I guess they can go at any point.![]()

I’m running the Teraflex…changed out OEM at 52k. Jeep feels Phenomenal…tighter than it EVER was! Bump steer is non existent as is any wobble of any kind…running 35 Cooper STTs. Cheers!Perfect timing on this! I have 65K trouble-free miles with 37's on my stockers, but I think Im going to change them before that changes. This video was perfect for helping me narrow down my choices!![]()
My JK´s OEM´s were shot at 90k miles, although I didn´t realize it. I put Synergy, IIRC on it and then I could really tell, as they were so much tighter that I realized the old ones made for a lot of slop in the steering.Great video. It would be interesting to see the cost of the OEM ones as well.
I take all claims of increased durability over OEM with a grain of salt. OEMs track durability of their parts closely, specially since this is a drivetrain component under 5year 60K miles warranty.
I have 33K miles on OEM joints running 37s and frequent wheeling, with no looseness. Similarly had 55K miles on my JK's original joints won 35s, no issues.
Seems to me that an aftermarket joint would need to exceed that factory 60K miles before a rebuilding is even in the cards. That would make it a 120K mile Jeep.
I'm more concerned about my aluminum knuckles than my ball joints.
MC has sales all the time anywhere from 10-15% occasionally a 20%. Check em at 4th of July, labor day and black Friday you'll find a deal. This is a great comparison. I feel like Teraflex is probably the best value, but I still want them Baller Joints (if they'd ever put them on sale)
Read the fine print. They exclude Baller Joints and their fancy shocks.MC has sales all the time anywhere from 10-15% occasionally a 20%. Check em at 4th of July, labor day and black Friday you'll find a deal.
Yeah Northridge doesn't discount them but go direct to MC and you can find sales on em when you would expect to find sales.Read the fine print. They exclude Baller Joints and their fancy shocks.
