Great video. It would be interesting to see the cost of the OEM ones as well.

I take all claims of increased durability over OEM with a grain of salt. OEMs track durability of their parts closely, specially since this is a drivetrain component under 5year 60K miles warranty.

I have 33K miles on OEM joints running 37s and frequent wheeling, with no looseness. Similarly had 55K miles on my JK's original joints won 35s, no issues.

Seems to me that an aftermarket joint would need to exceed that factory 60K miles before a rebuilding is even in the cards. That would make it a 120K mile Jeep.

I'm more concerned about my aluminum knuckles than my ball joints.

100% agree! Our new 2025 Gladiator Mojave has Cast Iron knuckles. Designed to take the beating of the desert.
The Mojave package's front axle is the wide-track 3rd Generation Dana 44 front with 10mm axletubes, cast iron steering knuckles, 4.10 gears, and an open differential.

I'm trying to decide if I should upgrade to iron knuckles and new ball joints, or simply trade up to a 2024+ Xtreme 35 Rubicon.

My Jeep is perfect as is but I still am too cautious with that front axles when I wheel. Plus the aluminum knuckles cause an annoying clicking when turning sometimes.

so, if stock gives you 50,000 miles, why not improved stock joints at 300 bones, vs, rebuildable at 700 bones. Dont get me wrong, I replaced oem with dynatrac when it really was the only and best option. Now maybe, not so much.

I'm a mechanic, retired, but really don't want to be rebuilding anything later.

I also understand, the part price will be a small part of the whole job.
