only 5000 are being produced for 2026 model year
The 392 is alleged to provide $50K profit per sold vehicle.

If true, selling all 5K of the '26 version will provide a $250,000,000 return.

Yay! Mortgage-grade Jeeps for everyone!

It's a bunch of money. Take a Rubicon X and charge an extra $30k for a beast of a V8.

I've said before that if the 5.7L should ever land in a Jeep, specifically, the next-gen J70, it should have non-insane pricing.

Offering it in isolation as a $4K line item option, similar to what was done with the 3.0L oil burner, is reasonable and defensible. The small block Hemi is settled architecture. It's not the Second Coming.

I'm wishing for non insane anything these days considering how much insanity is going around. Considering that an automatic transmission for the V6 is $4500 it would be good fortune to see the 5.7 and automatic for anything under $10k.

$100k for an engine and the absolute bare minimum Jeep needed to tweak on the JL platform to support it.

Meanwhile, going from the Pentastar in the Charger/Challenger to a 392 used to include phenomenally better brakes, steering, and suspension for just hair under $10k.

It's even on the Build and Price page at Jeep.com. It says it's just a Rubicon 392, but if you look at all the standard features it is a 2025 edition of the "Final Edition" . I noticed they were either testing the page or failing horribly at adding it about a week ago. They got it all worked out by the weekend.

7 Trim packages with all packages getting pretty much the same options to upgrade is a little excessive IMHO. For example Sport & Sport S. Come on now, the WIlly's is a good blend between the Sport/S / Sahara / Rubicon trims. In fact they could get rid of the Sport & Sport S for the WIlly's trim. Three Rubicon trims? Have the Rubicon trim with the XR & 392 as options. That gives you three base trims. Sahara is the only trim that gets all upgrades from the start except for XR & 392). It is the "luxury" trim after all. One price for the Sahara. Let the Willy's & Rubicon trims be the customizable trims. The Willy's & Rubicon start off as bare bones versions and the person gets to add what options they want. That would lower the initial cost of both trims and let the user control the amount of OEM upgrades. Also make the models easier to add OEM upgrades after the original sale. Easier plug & play for heated seats, heated steering wheel, Infotainment, axle swaps, from straight up ordering the upgrade from Mopar, to getting parts off a salvaged / wrecked vehicle.

Also, why doesn't Jeep get with Cummings and make a knockout diesel that is as good as the Power Stroke in the F250. Better mileage, better longevity, better low end, etc.

I have always thought 5.7 HEMI would be an awesome engine for a JEEP.
With the excellent 8 speed and cyl deactivation highway fuel economy should rival smaller engines.
It would be highly dependent on your right foot though 😉
Hey, and the perfect choice for the Gladiator, just the pricing gives me the shivers.

Excited to see which Jeeps get which Hemi engine. We have two Grand Cherokees with the 5.7L Hemi, making 360HP. Love this combo.

We also have two RAM 1500's with the 5.7L Hemi, making 395HP. Both trucks do a great job pulling our camper, which has been all over the country. Our 25ft camper is light enough that my Grand Cherokee Summit (Hemi) did a great job towing it home when we first bought it. Long trips though, the RAM 1500 is perfect.

Now the Wrangler...absolutely LOVE the 392 in our 2024 Wrangler. Overkill? Maybe. Will we buy a 5.7L Hemi in the Wrangler, Heck Yes!

So, I would venture a guess that a 5.7L Hemi in the Wrangler will get the 360HP version and sadly not the 395HP version. Thoughts?
