Me too are we looking at March?
Supposedly 2-door hard top goes into production in mid-Feb. Soft top mid-March.

You can order, now. I ordered a soft top manual on 12/23. No VIN#, yet, and I assume one won't come until they start building these. I hope I get it by May.

Waiting availability and price of the 4-Turbo. Also hoping if I drag my feet long enough I'll have an option to pass on that god awful Red dash with Black Leather. Dealer gives me her bottom dollar below invoice today. waiting for that to see if I can swing painted top or stick with Black. If she comes back with what I want I'll pull the trigger and pass on the 4-turbo.

I think the tan leather is too light in color. Need to see tan cloth too. Hoping they will release the saddle brown leather again and integrate that color into the dash and doors like the JK. Price pretty steep too and I'm waiting on the diesel...we'll see!

I've done the BMW thing, always enjoyed the driving dynamics but hated the expense and horrible resale, I unloaded my last one a year ago and won't be going back.
Amazing. My thoughts exactly. I brought my first and last BMW in 2013. Believed the hype and cool factor at first. Great car to drive, but terrible response from the factory with small issues. Factory is only concerned with folks who have enough money to care less what it costs to keep their car serviced. Basically, if you ask how much and why, you are demoted to one of the "unwashed'. Never will buy another.

I've long heard that the only people who drive out of warranty BMWs are BMW mechanics. :)

Then again, given my TJ experience, I would say the same about Wrangler owners. ;-)

My big wait is to see what Ocean Blue looks like in person, and of course I want a two door - that and I'm in no hurry to get rid of the FJ; different photo mockups have had it look like everything from a mid-tone intense blue to a midnight blue.

I'm also waiting to see the 2 dr JL in Open Blue before ordering one.

Earlier this week my local dealer gave me a new 2018 JK 2 dr Laredo to drive around for 24 hrs. Put over 100 miles on it and was tempted, but still want to see and drive the JL before buying.

BTW, Since 1980 I have owned 3 Wranglers with a cumulative milage of over 500,000 miles. All purchased new and driven daily. None have ever let me down ( when properly maintained and cared for). Sold my last one when I purchased the convertible Beemer. Well, ready to get back to another Jeep.

There is just a major "Smile" factor when I drive one (if I have to explain, you wouldn't understand) :)

Greetings..

For me the biggest thing holding me back is cost. Then color...I want to see the Blue and hoping in the next year or two they offer some sorta dark green. In that time I can pay off some bills to be able to afford what I want. A JL would be my 4th jeep and unless medical science improves a lot ..most likely my last so I want a Rubicon 4dr :)

For now, I need to slap on some new tires on my 2008 2dr JK and wait. Doubt it will be worth much in trade so most likely donation to a needy family member :)

Worked it out with my dealer yesterday. Pretty much loaded, way under invoice and cheap doc fee. She's ready to hit send but if the 2.0's are available in Feb. like some of rumored I'll wait but if it's March or later I'll pull the trigger on my current build. Problem is who knows when the 2.0's will be available. Post on here last week about the 2.0 code showing up in dealer allocations but..... Screw it. I'm calling her right now. The 2.0 turbo will have lots of bugs to work out anyway, right? :)

Man I'm with you on the dark Green. Had a Forrest Green 2D Sahara in 97. Loved that color. I wanted the Tank color when I got my Silver Hard Rock but bought off the lot. About to put my order in and wish the tank was available.

Yeah, first year new engine...especially a turbo is not something I would do. Sorta made that mistake with my 08 ...wasn't exactly new engine...but was for Wrangler....wish I had waited a few years and gotten the 3.6.

That and I just do not care for turbo charged engines.

I say pull that trigger :)

Oh yeah, I almost replaced my 08 with one of the Tank green ones when they were out.
