Lol @ Compass. Did you take yours to a local shop to be fixed?
Yes, where the dealer sends their work. They are Jeep trained. There was 2 other 392s there, one for paint defects and a SOT leak. I was able to check their work before agreeing. I also stopped by every few days to check progress and inspect. I am sure they were glad to get rid of me.

How long did it take? I'm 2hrs. from my Dealer and really hope I don't have to leave it out there. Then again if I get a Compass done deal!. At 1st I was like I can just drop the doors off which technically should be able to work. Has 400 miles new. Do it in factory Granite! Guess we'll see.

Nothing surprise me anymore. UAW must be empowering color blinded members at the QC line….

It took almost 4 weeks. The first week they didn't get to it bad weather and getting other work out. The last week was waiting for a back order on fender clips.

They can't even get the factory paint correct. After a week of my 392 I noticed bare spots in the engine bay underneath where the cowl mounts. I also notice on both sides of the cowls the balck was thin, about 1" x 1/4" of bubbles on the freedom top, both jams on the pillar between the front and rear door one side was glossy, the other was dry. I admitted my OCD, took them a month to get it perfect. I asked for a TRX or a Hellcat for a loaner to keep up my standard of living, got a Compass.
Did you ask that question with a straight face?

Funnily enough, during my initial stem-to-stern exam of my new Jeep, the only defect that stood out was the crookedly-applied UAW sticker on the tailgate.

To be fair, it seems they got everything else correct on the vehicle. Maybe the line worker was just tired when he applied the sticker. ?

Even a color blind person should see when the tint is that far off. It’s not good.
Which makes me think they are boxed up from whomever sprays them and thrown in the Jeep. Do they even look at the doors by the Jeep? I'm thinking for that to be so far off it's not checked by the Jeep.

My Jeep has been at Chicago Auto Pros for 9 days getting all done up. They couldn't wrap the cowls and half doors because of paint issues. So not only you have the headache of getting paint to match once fixed have to takenit back there to be wrapped and coated. On the bright side I get her back today and I'm lucky enough to have her. I hope many don't have to go through this but don't sleep on it for 84k.

Or a thrifty one. :) My Sport, with its sole option being an engine block heater, doesn't have much on it that can go wrong. That was my takeaway when reading thread after thread discussing tales of woe regarding malfunctioning Auto Climate controls, non-potted electronics failing in the rear axle, leaking Sky One Touch tops, wonky Uconnect apps, etc.

Everything is great. Until it isn't. Nothing wrong with hedging one's bet.

Someone else with my way of thinking. Oh and I feel this way about any manufacturers not just Jeep.

According to AAA 40% of a vehicles cost are electronics. 44% of vehicle break downs are solely battery related. How many man buns will be stranded on the side of the road in 5 years when we are all driving EVs. It’s always funny when they make their girlfriends change the spare.
