So...I just followed the (very easy) instructions to install half doors on my 2-door Sport, only to discover that the body lines don't match up very well, even though the latch and striker bar are perfectly aligned.

In short, the door closes perfectly, but the door/body lines are about 1/4" off:

Seems like everything should line up if the striker bar and latch are perfectly aligned, but this is clearly not the case. Has anyone else experienced this?

Try again with the hinges. There is quite a bit of room to move the door panel to line up better. Three of my doors are near perfect with the driver door being slightly off, but I was tired of adjusting it.

Sorry to see this issue on your Wrangler as well. For what we invest in these vehicles, Stellantis should be able to produce parts with consistent dimensions. Despite my OCD, I forced myself to (mostly) ignore the misalignment, but it's still pretty disappointing, especially when the paint clearly doesn't match the body. Had I known about these issues in advance, I may not have purchased the doors, but I'll admit that I do prefer the look and additional airflow in safari config (which I drive in almost all year). Hope you are able to ignore this issue as well and can enjoy the benefits of this option. Happy Jeepin'!
