@Spencer and I have been chatting about this, so wanted to put it in the wild.

What settings are you guys using for your DSCs? For clarity, I am counting the clicks after advancing from the dead space until the first actual detent meaning "X" clicks from the first detent.

Jeep Specs:

-- 5700# empty with full tank of gas
-- BFG KO2 LRC in 37x12.5x17 @ 30 PSI
-- Metal Cloak 3.5" Game Changer
-- Fox DSC 3.5" - 4.5"

On Road:

LSS (Low Speed Setting) = 3 clicks
HSS (High Speed Setting = 4 clicks

Off Road:

LSS (Low Speed Setting) = 4 clicks
HSS (High Speed Setting = 5 clicks

Thanks for putting this thread together @CarbonSteel

I have Metal Cloak 3.5” springs and bought the 4.5”-6” versions of the Fox Performance Elites.

Tires are 40” Cooper STT PRO’s at 28 psi.

The local city roads is what I drive on the most and they’re really rough.

Tried the following settings 3 low / 3 High, 4/4, 5/5, and 6/6. Settled on 5/5 for now. At 5/5 the Jeep doesn’t bobble much and the deeper/harder road imperfections are quick and the Jeep recovers quickly. Would like to find a setting that reduces the hard/fast impacts more than the 5/5 settings. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

Dial down on your high-speed settings.

Took the high setting down to 1 and kept the low setting at 5. Been upping it one click every day. Got up to 4 and went back to 3. So current settings is 3 high and 5 low.

Found a clearance issue today. Appears the shock is making contact with the spring perch. Will remove the shocks and grind down the metal perch a little bit this weekend to make clearance.

You should look into buying offset mounts for the bottom versus grinding on your spring perch. As you articulate more I doubt you would get enough clearance by grinding without introducing a weak point.

I’m using the offset lower mounts by Metalcloak and improvised them as you did too. I don’t know of an upper offset mount.

Hmmm...what lift are you running?

I have more clearance than what you show:

I have the Metalcloak 3.5” springs, Clayton control arms, and soon adjustable sway bar links by Evo.

Thanks for sharing. I worked on the clearance issues last night and realized it’s probably due to where I have the front axle sitting with the lengths of the control arms.

Yeah, I think spencer hit it on the head, his axle is probably positioned a little more forward ….
Yep; fully agree!

Hey there, any issues with the 40s hitting the front resi on the bumper?
