Once a year you go to a private inspection station for the smog and safety inspection, then you get your license plate sticker that goes on the windshield. If you have occasional codes in the computer then you clear them, drive long enough for all of the sensors to be read and set, then go to the inspection station. Inspection and registration are not very expensive. In 2 years the yearly inspection will stop. This is the procedure in my county, I think if you live in some counties the smog part of the inspection is not required.Pointers, especially about vehicle registration and inspection in Texas. Tracking El Paso is a smog county, not worried about the JLU or JT but the TJ does occasionally throw a misfire code (typical for the 2000 plus…)
