I was looking at the Tazer JL Mini docs and noticed that a new update seems to have gone out in March (if I'm decoding the last 6 digits correctly as a date). Does anyone have a clue what changed in firmware revision 11.4.5 - 031424?

Do you need to unmarry the unit to do a firmware update?

firmware revision 11.4.5 - 031424?
This release seems to have snuck up on me. This thread is the first I’ve heard of it and I check the Z-Auto site frequently.

Aside from that, I generally don’t update my Tazer firmware unless there’s a fix for a particular feature I use and/or general bug fixes.

If it aint broke, don't fix it. I only update if it's something I use (or want to)

The only updates for the last 18 months were just bugfixes, and some small UI changes mostly relating to the pin lock feature.

Dumb question? But does installing the latest firmware version update with all the various firmware revisions since your Tazer was new? I've never updated mine.

Mine loves to disengage my sway bars when I come off the interstate. I was hoping that had been addressed. It's currently in a drawer since that "feature" freaks out my wife.

YEAH, I'd say thats a worrisome safety bug. Have you told them it's doing that? I'd think something affecting safety would be their highest priority....

I have to say they’re support is top-notch!

I have submitted a couple of emails about roadmap features or bug fixes and with the last update it looks like everything I’ve asked for it’s been accommodated!

My biggest issue was the back up camera from the shortcut button, shutting off before I wanted it to be off now the back up camera stays on until you push the shortcut button a second time to turn it off!

I really enjoy that they’re open to feedback on suggestions

Guess I will break down and buy one now, do forum members get a discount anywhere for the unit?

Yep, I worked with them for a while...until my wife said fuck this and refused to drive / ride with it installed.
