;)

So Tazer is hooked up and I chose my Light show, and scrolled through the menu's

I plan to change a lot of stuff this weekend.

How will the lockers work? Factory switch....Up is front on and then push button down to turn off? Push down to turn rear on and lift up to turn off?

OR

When buttons are assigned to different things how do you toggle between them? I will need quite a few to turn everything on and off?

Just want an idea, so when I try it and read the directions I am familiar with process

I want independent locker activation.

4 wheel brake lock (for winching)

Winch mode, to up idle

Lock front and rear brakes for digs

lock inside rear brake to add tight turns with locker off

That's 7 switches so far

TIA

Dang IMO you will regret all this lol. Are you really going to use all these things? OK that's just my opinion. SO, it is my understanding you will never get the front locker to turn on without the rear unless you wire them independently to your AUX switches and control them from there. If you do that you simply use the Tazer to turn lockers off so the Jeep thinks it' doesn't have lockers.

I recommend going to Tazer website and printing off the user manual. It's very easy to follow and will answer all of your questions. I actually keep a copy of it in my glove box. You can also email them and they are very quick to respond and help answer questions.

Good luck.

Heck, I probably will never do that, but.....

I printed them off this morning,

I wondered about the locker thing and knew about the solenoid trick, so Tazer will just turn them off (Thanks for clearing that up) and then I can use 2 of the aux switches to activate solenoids, that was my plan before getting the Tazer, so great info!

Thanks for clearing that up for me

Edit...We used 2wd low range a lot in the last rigs, and doing digs is just a way to break D44 stuff, it's neat to campfire talk it tho' :like:

I wouldn't make too much effort to make that happen. Front lockers have an amazing ability to make the Jeep not want to turn. The Jeep just says "I don't care that the wheels are turned all the way, I'm going straight"!

The only time I've ever found front lockers truly useful is pulling straight ahead in a recovery and you'd want F&R lockers for that.

I'll add to that that there are a few obstacles I've encountered where front lockers only would have been advantageous but I was able to do it with both lockers. Obviously if you were doing this from scratch you'd wire them independent but unless you are doing serious rock crawling I wouldn't worry about it.
